Halloween 2020 Is coming soon on 31st October and in the past couple of years, the trend of celebrating Halloween has come to another extent. This is one festival where religious context takes a back seat, and we all are at our spooky and creative best. In India, we mostly see this celebration in movies and shows but most of the people like to celebrate in their way. Especially for kids who love to be creative and make things out of it and wear costumes to get the vibe of Halloween. We have plenty of desifestivals, especially around this time of the year, to celebrate. But none of them involves dressing up as spooky creatures. But due to pandemic, most of people would like to perform at home.
This blog gives you an idea about the DIY decor you can do at home and enjoy yourself with the full enthusiasm:
The whole feel starts with the doorstep of your house where other people see you celebrating Halloween your way. You can keep lanterns, mums and piles of pumpkins, flowers pots, some greens, small artificial trees. Add lights and you can make it look more pleasing and this will add your whole vibe.
2. Pick a palette
Limiting your decor's colour palette to just a few shades creates a look that's perfectly pulled together. Metallics are a must for any well-styled vignette so mix in copper, gold or silver for an added touch of glam.
3. Paper Garland
You can design your paper garland and place it on your wall. Cut the papers in a triangle shape, stick them horizontally and colour it as per choice, draw skull or scary pumpkins on them and make a big garland.
Take your old books or newspaper and burn it from aside and place it on your table. For more additions, you can place skulls on it or roses and can also place a few candles on the side. Take your small tubs and decorate it by covering it with white ribbon or white cloth, make big scary eyes and paste on it. You can either put flowers in it or candies.
5. Magic up your flower pot
Adding a little personality to the pot you can make your cat flower pot. You can buy a few mud pots and paint it with black colour. For the eyes, you can cut down the paper in the almond shape and for the ears, you can take sticks or straws and paint them black as well. For the middle nose part, you can cut the sheet into a round shape and paste all of these on the pot to give that cat flower pot.
6. Make your Pumpkin
To get more creative and innovative, you can make your pumpkin. Design along with hat, specs and cone-shaped nose and paste it on the pumpkin and make it look real.
Break out the string lights a little early this year, then give them a spectacular Halloween makeover with ping pong balls and a little craft paint.
